Week 16 Process Post: Project 4!

This week we have worked on Project 4 which is a project I have chosen to be a little ambitious with as we only have 6 workdays. Following similar ideas from my home project, I chose to go with a simple color-scheme which places emphasis on the figures in the piece by using a bright pink for only the figures and using a yellow for the background and surrounding objects. I began this project by using two of the six workdays for planning which may seem costly however I don't regret at all because I felt secure in my ideas and composition which was something that I struggled with in the first few projects. On the third workday I used a yellow wash to set the background and sketched the figure out with pinks I planned to use. So far I feel confident in my primary figure however I am worried about painting the smaller faces of the two figures in the background because painting faces is extremely hard and the fact that these particular faces are smaller makes it even harder. Overall, I am making good progress with this project and I am proud of what I have done so far.
