Process Post #2

During this process, my newfound liking of oil paint has only grown. I really like all of the details that my composition entails, and I find it really interesting how you can modify parts of the painting at any point. The only think I don't really enjoy is the lights being off. I understand that it is essential for the lighting and shadows, however I feel that because we have the lights turned off, we don't really see what the painting will look like in totality with the lights on until we get into the dressing room, which makes it look less complete to me, and then I end up wanting to change things, but I can't because its too late. Overall I still really enjoy this painting process and I feel that I would like to continue it, even through art 4 and 5. At this point I am really proud of my ducks and the water (even though I still need to add highlights and lowlights), however I think the book and the background still need some work.
