Oura Sananikone was an incredibly engaging artist to listen to. His work is highly detailed and complex, adding new layers of emotion and depth to the graffiti styles he explores.  I really appreciate Sananikone's artistic style—his meticulous line work, distinct text elements, and thoughtful color choices all contribute to a cohesive and striking final piece. I would love to explore more of his work and am grateful for the opportunity to have heard him speak today.

What stood out to me most about Sananikone was his remarkably broad range of interests—moving from painting and graffiti to comic books and toys, all while continuing to experiment with these mediums in his work. My biggest takeaway from his talk was the encouragement to embrace a diverse range of artistic interests and creative approaches, which is something I wish I did more. Hearing about his artistic process was also fascinating. While he does plan his work, he often allows it to evolve in unexpected directions, particularly in his comics. He doesn’t impose strict limitations on himself or dictate what he can and cannot create which I think is beautiful and difficult.
